Hawkins TX shooting death of Ibory Taylor – Obituary
Ibory Taylor has been identified as the man killed in a fatal Hawkins shooting that occurred on Friday, April 29, 2022. The suspect in the shooting, who has also bee arrested, has been named as Devin Harper.
According to Hawkins Police Chief Manfred Gilow, officials got a call regarding a gunshot at JJs Fast Stop at 10 a.m. on Friday.
When Hawkins police came, they discovered Ibory Taylor had been shot many times in the chest and abdomen, and he had died. Taylor was born in the year 2001.
Authorities obtained a description of the suspect’s vehicle and dispatched numerous police units to his residence.
The following day, police caught Devin Harper, 19, at his home, and he confessed to the shooting, according to Gilow. According to authorities, the shooting occurred as a result of an altercation over a girlfriend.
