East Peoria car crash death of James King – Obituary
EAST PEORIA, ILLINOIS (Heart of Illinois ABC) – The motorcyclist killed in an accident in East Peoria on Monday has been identified.
According to Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley, the motorbike was being operated by James King, 66, of East Peoria.
According to preliminary autopsy findings, King died as a result of numerous blunt force injuries experienced in a motorcycle/motor vehicle incident.
The toxicology findings are still awaited.
Hanley’s office was requested to attend to the Illinois 26 (Spring Bay Road) and West Spring Creek Road crossing in East Peoria.
Around 1:56 p.m., law enforcement was notified.
According to Illinois State Police, King was stopped on Route 26 when he was struck from behind by a 19-year-old vehicle from Metamora.
He was penalized for failing to slow down.
