Bowling Green car crash death of Willie J. Bays – Obituary
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The shooter in downtown Bowling Green on Sunday, May 1, 2022, in the night has been identified. Willie J. Bays, 44, of Bowling Green, has been identified as the person killed in the shooting.
On Sunday night at 5:40 p.m., the Bowling Green Police Department responded to a homicide at 19 E. 13th Ave. in downtown Bowling Green.
Officers arrived and discovered a guy inside the building with several gunshot wounds. They tried to save his life but were unsuccessful, and he was declared dead at the site.
As of Sunday, police said they were still hunting for a suspect and were gathering video evidence.
