Salem car crash death of Margaret Newhall and James Newhall – Obituary
Margaret Newhall and James Newhall have been identified as the man and woman killed in a fatal Salem car crash that occurred on Wednesday, May 4, 2022.
A man and a woman have been identified as the victims of a wrong-way accident in Salem on Wednesday.
According to the Salem Police Department, emergency responders responding to a complaint of a multi-vehicle incident near Highland Avenue at 4:30 p.m. discovered a Ford Focus that had drove north in the southbound lane and collided with another vehicle, causing two additional automobiles to crash.
The driver of the Focus, James Newhall, 91, of Marblehead, was declared dead at the scene. Margaret Newhall, 55, his passenger, was also declared deceased.
Another male passenger in the vehicle was critically injured and was brought to the hospital.
Two persons were also taken to the hospital from the other automobiles involved in the accident.
