David Salazar, 50, of Carson City has been identified as the person killed in a fatal Sparks Nevada motorcycle crash that occurred on Saturday, April 30, 2022. The fatal wreck

Troopers from the Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol Division, responded to reports of an accident involving a motorbike and a semi-tractor pulling two trailers on the IR-80 and Vista Boulevard on-ramp in Sparks at 5:03 p.m.

The driver of a red 2019 Harley Davidson motorbike was heading west on the IR-80, Vista Boulevard on-ramp, according to preliminary inquiry. In the No. 2 traffic lane, a white 2017 Kenworth tractor carrying two trailers was driving west.

The motorist attempted to join the No. 2 traffic lane and crossed the on-gore ramp’s area. The motorbike collided with the second trailer’s right side. The motorbike toppled, and the driver was thrown off it.

The driver of the Harley Davidson, David Salazar, 50, of Carson City, was taken to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
