Amarillo shooting death of Chris Doerue – Obituary
Chris Doerue has been identified as the person killed in a fatal Amarrilo shooting that occurred on Saturday, May 7, 2022.
Officers were sent to the 1400 block of North Johnson Street in response to a gunshot at 5:51 p.m., according to an APD press release. Officers arrived to find the victim and numerous witnesses in the front yard of a house.
According to the news announcement, the victim was named as Chris Doerue, 25.
Doerue was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Two individuals were identified and held by APD for interrogation. According to the announcement, Leonard Hakizimana, 21, and Jeremiah Ntirampeba, 19, were arrested and put into the Potter County Jail on homicide charges.
