Starkville shooting death of Dylan Meikle – Obituary
Dylan Meikle has been identified as the person killed in a fatal Tuscaloosa County shooting at the Links Apartments on Friday, May 6, 2022. The suspect in the shooting has been identified as Arti Brown.
After a brief chase, Arti Brown was apprehended on Interstate 20/59 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama on Saturday, May 7th.
He was scheduled to go before a court on Monday to begin the process of being returned to Oktibbeha County.
Dylan Meikle, 32, was shot outside the Links Apartments on Friday night.
He died later in the hospital.
Deputies in Oktibbeha County soon obtained an arrest warrant for Brown and issued an area-wide notice.
According to the Oktibbeha County Coroner’s Office, Meikle’s body was sent to the state crime lab for an autopsy.
There will be no more arrests.
