Bridgeport shooting death of Jose Alicea – Obituary
Jose Alicea, of Bridgeport, has been identified as the person killed in a fatal Bridgeport CT shooting that occurred on Monday, May 9, 2022, in The Hollow.
Jose Alicea, 38, of Bridgeport, was recognized by police.
The city’s emergency operations center got reports of a gunshot in the 100 block of Washington Terrace at 8:30 p.m., according to police. Officers came and discovered Alicea with a gunshot wound to the chest.
According to authorities, he was rushed to the hospital and eventually died.
According to an earlier statement issued Monday evening, Alicea was “awake and attentive” when he was transferred to the hospital.
The homicide and identification units of the detective bureau are investigating and processing the murder scene, according to police.
