Stephania Dantzler; Shanice Dantzler-Williams; and Miranda Dantzler-Williams have been identified as the three people killed in a fatal Hollywood car crash.
The accident happened on Monday, May 9, 2022 when the vehicle that they were colided with a police cruiser.
Stephania Dantzler, 53, Shanice Dantzler-Williams, 28, and Miranda Dantzler-Williams, 22, were all from the Colleton County area and died at the site at 11 p.m., according to the coroner.
According to the coroner, they died as a result of injuries received in the incident on southbound Savannah Highway near New Road.
According to officials, Deputy Emily Pelletier was responding to a report when her cruiser collided with a vehicle.
According to the sheriff’s office, three persons from the civilian car perished as a consequence of the incident on Monday morning. Pelletier was extricated from the cruiser and transferred to MUSC for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
A car heading southbound on Savannah Highway refused to stop and struck their cruiser at 2:30 a.m. on Monday, when two other deputies were blocking traffic for the investigation.
According to officials, the deputies were in their car, which had its flashing blue lights on when it was hit.
The second collision was attended to by first responders from the first. Both deputies were stuck in their vehicle and had to be freed.
Deputy Jonathon Rand and Deputy Joy DeSomber were extracted from the vehicle and sent to MUSC with critical but non-life threatening injuries. The second motorist had non-life threatening injuries.
