Springfield car crash death of Ciera T. Berry – Obituary
Ciera T. Berry, 28, of Triangle has been identified as the person killed in a fatal Springfield car crash that occurred on Interstate 95 in Springfield, Virginia.
Ciera T. Berry, 28, of Triangle, was driving a Nissan Altima south on I-95 at 3:30 a.m. when she attempted to change lanes to the right and collided with a Nissan Sentra.
The Sentra then collided with a box truck in the next lane over to the right. Berry’s Altima collided with the truck and raced off the left side of the road, colliding with the Jersey wall and catching fire.
Berry died on the spot. She was not wearing a seatbelt, according to authorities.
Berry’s passenger was rushed to the hospital with significant injuries. She was also not wearing a seatbelt.
The collision is being investigated as a result of speed and driver distraction. It is still being investigated.
