Kure Beach NC shooting death of John Allen Garisto – Obituary
John Allen Garisto, 55, of Kure Beach, has been identified as the man murdered in the Tuesday, May 17, 2022 afternoon shooting on Ocean View Avenue. William Henry Bennett, 61, has been named as the suspect. Both of them lived on Kure Beach.
After hearing a gunshot from his residence, officers discovered Bennett dead.
Officers came to 121 Ocean View Avenue at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday in response to a conflict with bullets fired, according to the Kure Beach Police Department. An dispute between neighbors is said to have started the event.
The inquiry is still underway, and there is currently no more information available.
