Sunny Gant has been identified as the victim of a fatal Middle Tennessee State University shooting. The shooting happened on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.

The Murfreesboro Police Department conducted a news conference on Thursday to discuss the fatal shooting that occurred on the MTSU campus on Wednesday night. The man was apprehended in Clarksville on Thursday.
A juvenile petition for first-degree murder was filed by Murfreesboro police. Rutherford County Juvenile Court will hear the case. He was able to depart the scene by blending in with the throng, according to police.
