Richland County Ohio car crash death of Allison M. McCort and Evan N. Friend – Obituary
Allison M. McCort, 18, and Evan N. Friend, 25, have been identified as the two people killed in a fatal Orange County car crash that occurred on Friday, May 20, 2022.
The wreck occurred near Tustin Street and Taft Avenue at 10:29 p.m. on Friday. According to the Orange Police Department, a Porsche entered the intersection to turn south on Tustin when a Kia Sol traveling north on Tustin ran a red light and the two vehicles crashed.
The driver of the Porsche died at the spot, while the driver of the Kia was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Shane Lowe, 59, of Newport Beach, was confirmed as the Porsche driver, according to the coroner’s office.
The driver of the Kia is suspected of being under the influence of narcotics, according to police, and the investigation is ongoing. Both crashes were investigated by the department’s Major Accident Investigation Team.
