Salisbury shooting death of Ronnie Dale Hoots – Obituary
61-year-old Ronnie Dale Hoots has been identified as the person killed in a fatal Salisbury shooting that occurred on Friday, May 20, 2022.
The fatal Rowan County shooting happened at 5840 Wildwood Road.
Ronnie Dale Hoots, 61, was discovered dead inside the residence with two gunshot wounds when deputies arrived.
Erick Brown, 60, was identified as a suspect in the shooting by detectives.
Authorities suspect the shooting was the result of a fight between Hoots and Brown earlier that day.
According to the RCSO, Brown also proceeded to the homicide victim’s location, which was Hoots’ home, where he had another argument.
Brown was later detained without incident at his residence.
