Connecticut motorcycle crash death of Debra Zorich and Frederick Zorich of Windsor Locks CT – Obituary
It happened around 2:15 p.m. on June 10 near Stafford, Tolland County, in the area of Route 190 (Buckley Highway) and Fenton Road.
The driver of the motorbike, a Honda GL1800, was declared dead when police and EMS arrived, according to Connecticut State Police. Frederick Zorich of Windsor Locks, a 63-year-old Hartford County resident, has been identified.
According to authorities, the motorcycle passenger was taken by LifeStar to St. Francis Hospital in Hartford with significant, life-threatening injuries and later died there. Debra Zorich, 60, also of Windsor Locks, has been identified.
The driver of the SUV, a Nissan Pathfinder, was a 17-year-old lad from Somers, Tolland County, who was not harmed and refused medical treatment, according to authorities.
According to state police, the Pathfinder was going east on Route 190 when it drifted into the westbound lane, striking the motorbike head-on.
All parties and witnesses who were involved stayed on the spot and are collaborating with state police.
