Portland shooting death of Geavauntae Sherman – Obituary
Geavauntae Sherman, 22, of Portland, was identified as the man fatally shot near Raymond Park in Southeast Portland on Monday night by Portland police.
According to authorities, an autopsy proved he died as a result of a gunshot wound.
Police were called at 10 p.m. Monday to reports of a man being shot and put into a car in the 11800 block of Southeast Liebe Street. Near the park, residents in the Powellhurst-Gilbert area reported hearing gunshots and cries.
The individual was discovered in a car at Southeast 122nd Avenue and Division Street, but he had died, according to police.
Chelsea Martin, a neighboring homeowner, claimed she spotted a gathering in the park where the shooting occurred that evening.
