A hit-and-run accident reportedly caused the death of a motorcyclist in Phoenix on Friday night.

At about 8:27 p.m., officers were sent to the area of 75th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard, which is located just south of Thomas Road. The accident involved a motorbike and an automobile.

When the police came, they discovered Mario Aguirre, age 22, lying on the ground. He was pronounced dead at the spot. According to the investigators, the car that struck him fled the scene after the accident.
