Clay Ny car crash death of Jon T. Rich Jr. – Obituary
Troopers said that a person who was a passenger in a vehicle that hit a utility pole and flipped over in the town of Clay on Friday has died as a result of their injuries.
It was determined that the passenger was a man named Jon T. Rich Jr., who was 52 years old and from Brewerton.
Melissa Ann Brown, 55 years old, was driving the automobile that was involved in the late-night accident on Thursday. She was unable to navigate a bend on Caughdenoy Road and drove over the western shoulder of the highway, which resulted in the fatal disaster.
The 2023 Chevrolet Camaro then collided with an embankment, continued over Black Creek Road, collided with a utility pole, flipped over, and finally came to a halt in a yard that was located on Black Creek Road.
Brown was unable to be freed from the car and was subsequently declared dead at the site, according to the troopers that responded.
According to the authorities, Rich was transferred to Upstate University Hospital with damage to his internal organs.
