In a tragic incident on New Falls Road, a bicyclist lost his life when struck by an SUV. The victim, 64-year-old Francisco Chavarria, hailing from Bristol Township, was identified by the Bucks County Coroner’s Office on Friday.

This heart-wrenching incident occurred at approximately 7 p.m. on Monday, unfolding in the 9000 block of New Falls Road. The fatal collision involved a silver 2020 Nissan Rogue, driven by a 21-year-old resident of Morrisville, as confirmed by the authorities.

Regrettably, Mr. Chavarria sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the accident scene, as detailed by the local police department.

Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck, upon investigation, determined the cause of death to be multiple injuries, deeming it an accidental tragedy. Buck expressed profound condolences on behalf of the Bucks County Coroner’s Office to the grieving family and friends.

The police report disclosed that, at the time of the incident, Mr. Chavarria was attired in dark-colored clothing and was not wearing a helmet. The responsible driver of the Nissan Rogue, in contrast, remained at the scene and has been fully cooperative with the ongoing investigation.

On a subsequent day, investigators revealed that they do not suspect alcohol, drugs, or a medical emergency to have contributed to this fatal collision.
