In a tragic incident that unfolded at the intersection of Leon Road and Domenigoni Parkway, two lives were lost, and several others were left injured in the aftermath of a collision involving two vehicles.
The victims have been identified as 25-year-old Israel Bermudez from Buena Park and 32-year-old Paloma Casares from Hemet. The accident occurred around 11:40 a.m. on Wednesday.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the collision transpired between a tractor-trailer and a Dodge SUV, both traveling in the eastbound lanes of Domenigoni. The impact of the crash caused the SUV to spin uncontrollably, eventually colliding with a fire hydrant.
