Fatal Charlton motorcycle collision death of Diane Dwyer – Obituary
Tragic news emerges as authorities have unveiled the identities of the two individuals who lost their lives following a motorcycle accident near Tree House Brewing on Route 20 in Charlton. The Worcester County District Attorney’s office has officially identified the victims.
Preliminary findings from the ongoing inquiry indicate that the incident occurred when a 2008 Suzuki motorcycle, operated by 25-year-old Joseph Tomlin Jr. of Sturbridge, was traveling eastbound on Sturbridge Road/Route 20 around 11 a.m.
The motorcycle tragically collided with a 2015 Subaru Legacy, which was executing a left turn from the opposite side of the road into the driveway of the Tree House Brewing Company. This devastating collision resulted in the temporary closure of Route 20 in both directions.
Among the victims, Diane Dwyer, a 58-year-old resident of Webster, was a passenger in the Subaru Legacy. As of now, the condition of the Subaru’s driver remains undisclosed.
The comprehensive investigation into this heart-wrenching accident is being spearheaded by the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the Crime Scene Services Section, and the dedicated team at District Attorney Joseph Early Jr.’s office.
