Fatal Pima County morning collision death of Christopher Myers – Obituary
Pima County authorities have announced the reopening of a roadway following a tragic incident on the morning of September 8.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department promptly responded to reports of a collision that occurred around 6:14 a.m. at the intersection of E. River Road and N. Via Entrada. This heart-wrenching incident involved a grave accident between a bicyclist and an SUV.
During their thorough investigation, deputies collected pertinent information that revealed the SUV was traveling in a westerly direction on River Road, while the bicyclist was attempting to cross River Rd in a northern trajectory towards Via Entrada. Tragically, the SUV struck the bicyclist as he traversed the westbound lanes.
The bicyclist has been identified as Christopher Myers, a 74-year-old individual who tragically lost his life at the scene. In a heart-wrenching turn of events, Christopher Myers is no longer with us.
Fortunately, the driver of the SUV displayed commendable responsibility by remaining at the scene and fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Remarkably, the driver of the SUV emerged from the accident unscathed.
