A tragic incident unfolded on New Falls Road when a bicyclist met a fatal end in a collision with an SUV. The victim, identified as 64-year-old Francisco Chavarria from Bristol Township, lost his life in this unfortunate event.

This sorrowful incident occurred at approximately 7 p.m. on Monday, precisely in the 9000 block of New Falls Road.

It was here that Chavarria’s life took a tragic turn when a silver 2020 Nissan Rogue, driven by a 21-year-old resident of Morrisville, struck him.

The collision left Chavarria with critical injuries, and sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene, as confirmed by the authorities.

The Bucks County Coroner, Meredith Buck, determined that the cause of his death was the result of multiple injuries, and it was officially deemed accidental.

Meredith Buck, speaking on behalf of the Bucks County Coroner’s Office, conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and friends during this difficult time.

Notably, at the time of the collision, Chavarria was clad in dark-colored attire and was not wearing a helmet, according to the police report.

The driver of the Nissan Rogue exhibited responsible behavior by remaining at the scene and offering full cooperation to the ongoing investigation.

On a subsequent day, investigators shared their findings, indicating that neither alcohol, drugs, nor a medical emergency played a role in this tragic collision.
