Tragedy struck in Albertville when 18-year-old Connor Parker lost his life in a single-vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon, as confirmed by the Marshall County Coroner’s Office.

The incident unfolded around 3:45 p.m. on Saturday near the 4000 block of Hustleville Road, where emergency responders were dispatched to a bridge following reports of a car crash.

Regrettably, young Connor Parker, a native of Albertville, met a tragic end at the crash site, according to the coroner’s office.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) reported that the fatal incident occurred when the Chevrolet Silverado, operated by Parker, veered off the road, colliding with a guardrail before careening into a concrete barrier and ultimately coming to a rest in a nearby creek.

Sadly, Parker was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

During this harrowing ordeal, the coroner’s office’s chaplain service provided crucial support to those present at the scene, as well as to the grieving family.

Alabama State Troopers have taken charge of the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Furthermore, multiple local agencies, including Albertville Fire, Asbury Fire, Alder Springs Fire, Guntersville Fire, Marshall Health Systems EMS, and the Marshall County EMA, extended their assistance during this tragic incident.
