Tragic news struck Albertville on Saturday afternoon when 18-year-old Connor Parker, a beloved native of the town, lost his life in a devastating single-vehicle crash.

The Marshall County Coroner’s office was called to the scene near the 4000 block of Hustleville Road at approximately 3:45 p.m. in response to the harrowing incident.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the young Parker was fatally injured as his Chevrolet Silverado veered off the road, colliding with a guardrail before careening into a concrete railing and ultimately plunging into a nearby creek.

It was noted that at the time of the crash, the 18-year-old was not wearing his seatbelt, further compounding the tragedy.

The coroner’s office extended its support through its chaplain service, offering solace to those present at the heart-wrenching scene and the grieving family.

Alabama State Troopers have taken charge of the investigation into the incident.
