Fatal Jefferson County car crash death of Roger Keith Preston – Obituary
A tragic incident unfolded when a collision occurred on Taylor’s Ferry Road near Cross Creek Way in western Jefferson County, claiming the life of 46-year-old Roger Keith Preston, a resident of Pleasant Grove.
The devastating accident, a head-on collision, took place around 10:45 a.m. last Saturday.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office swiftly identified Roger Keith Preston as the victim of this heart-wrenching crash.
He was the driver of a Chevrolet Trail Blazer, and the impact of the collision was so severe that his life was tragically cut short. Preston was pronounced dead at the scene at precisely 11:15 a.m.
The other vehicle involved in this fateful incident was a GMC Sierra, driven by an adult female whose identity remains undisclosed at this time.
She sustained injuries in the crash and was promptly transported to UAB Hospital for medical attention. As of now, the full extent of her injuries has not been made public.
