Fatal Butler County Motorcycle Collision Claims Life of Stephen Stocks – Obituary

In a tragic incident that unfolded on Sunday night, Stephen Stocks, a 42-year-old resident of Liberty Township in Butler County, lost his life in a three-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle.

The Butler County Coroner officially identified the victim as Stephen Stocks on Monday.

The harrowing accident occurred at approximately 9:25 p.m. on State Route 4, precisely at the intersection with Millikan Road in Fairfield Township.

This catastrophic incident involved a motorcycle and two cars, as reported by a spokesperson from the local police in a press release.

Initial findings from the ongoing investigation suggest that the operator of the motorcycle, Stephen Stocks, either reduced his speed or came to a complete stop at the northbound State Route 4 intersection with Millikin Road.

Tragically, a 2005 Toyota car traveling in the same direction collided with the motorcycle from behind, forcibly ejecting Stocks from his motorcycle and onto the road. Adding to the tragedy, a second car, also heading north, struck Stocks after he had been thrown from the motorcycle.

Despite the prompt administration of life-saving measures, Stephen Stocks succumbed to his injuries at the scene, as confirmed by the local authorities.

In the aftermath of the accident, law enforcement officers interviewed both drivers of the involved cars. At this time, it remains unclear whether any charges or citations are pending against either of the car drivers.

The circumstances and potential contributing factors that led to this devastating collision have not been disclosed yet, and a thorough investigation is currently underway to determine the cause.
