The unfortunate incident unfolded just after midnight in the parking lot of an apartment complex, located on the 1600 block of Searles Avenue. Clayton Browne, too, succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds, as confirmed by the coroner’s office.

The dreadful episode unfolded as Clayton Browne stepped out of his apartment near Rancho High School, only to be met with a hail of gunfire.

Eyewitnesses recalled seeing an individual cloaked in dark attire fleeing the scene, yet as of Monday, law enforcement had not issued any reports of an apprehension.
