In an unfortunate and tragic incident, Paris Holbert, a 29-year-old resident of the 500 Flats Apartments on Woodchucker Drive in East Fort Worth, lost her life in a domestic homicide during the early hours of Saturday. Fort Worth police swiftly arrested a suspect in connection with the incident.

The grim episode unfolded when officers received a distressing prowler call and promptly arrived at the 600 block of Woodchucker Drive around 2:45 a.m. Upon entering one of the apartments, they discovered a woman who had suffered a gunshot wound.

Paramedics rushed the victim to a nearby hospital, but despite their best efforts, she succumbed to her injuries. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office officially identified her as Paris Holbert, who resided in the very apartment where the tragic incident occurred.

Notably, law enforcement officers found a male suspect at the scene sporting an injury to his forehead. The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Robert Holbert according to jail records, now faces a murder charge in connection with the fatal shooting.

After taking the suspect into custody, he was immediately transported to a hospital for treatment, as he had sustained injuries. Additionally, prior to his arrest for the homicide, Robert Holbert had outstanding warrants on unrelated charges from Arlington and North Richland Hills, as indicated by jail records.

As the investigation continues, detectives are diligently preparing an arrest warrant specifically related to the tragic homicide, ensuring that justice is pursued in this heartbreaking case.
