Fatal Pasco car crash death of Angela Hart and Aspen Hart – Obituary

Tragedy struck north of Pasco over the weekend, claiming the lives of two individuals and leaving two others injured. The victims of this devastating incident have been identified as 50-year-old Angela Hart and 18-year-old Aspen Hart, both hailing from Kennewick.

They were traveling in a westerly direction on Crestloch Road at its intersection with Highway 395 when their vehicle failed to yield to oncoming traffic, resulting in a collision with a northbound truck.

In light of this unfortunate incident, we engaged in a discussion with officials from the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), who shared insights about the location where multiple fatalities have already occurred this year.

Meagan Lott, Communications representative for WSDOT, revealed that proactive measures had recently been taken to enhance the safety of the intersection.

These efforts included the addition of deceleration and acceleration merge lanes. She stated, “Given the regrettable fatalities witnessed in this area earlier this year, our traffic management team will conduct a thorough assessment to explore any potential further enhancements. We have already implemented several safety upgrades along the 395 corridor stretching between Pasco and Rittzville, such as the introduction of acceleration and deceleration lanes, as well as improvements to the left turn lane for exiting vehicles.”

WSDOT emphasized their commitment to swiftly investigate accidents of this nature, not only to understand the circumstances leading to the tragedy but also to identify measures that can prevent such accidents from occurring in the future.
