Fatal Elkville car crash death of Trenton J. Miller – Obituary
In a tragic incident near Elkville, a life was lost following a single-vehicle collision. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office reported that this unfortunate event occurred at approximately 2:12 a.m. on Wednesday, along Royalton Road in the vicinity of Barwick Road.
A concerned citizen alerted authorities after discovering debris strewn across the roadway and a damaged vehicle off the side of the road. Deputies promptly responded to the scene, where they found the driver, Trenton J. Miller, 31, of Marion, lying a short distance away from the wrecked vehicle.
Upon investigation, it was determined that a blue 2023 Hyundai Sante Fe, driven by Miller, had been traveling eastward on Royalton Road, heading toward Barwick Road. Tragically, Miller’s vehicle veered off the right side of the road, colliding with a culvert before striking a utility pole. Subsequently, the vehicle overturned multiple times, as revealed by the investigation.
Regrettably, Miller was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, leading to his ejection from the vehicle. Despite immediate treatment at the scene, he was transported to a nearby hospital where he was ultimately declared deceased.
