Fatal Willingboro Township, New Jersey Car Crash Claims Life of Unnamed Victim – Obituary
In the early hours of Wednesday, a tragic incident unfolded as road crews were in the process of clearing a harrowing accident on Route 130 in Willingboro Township, New Jersey, which regrettably resulted in the demise of an unidentified individual.
Authorities reported that the calamity transpired around 12:45 a.m. when a driver, traveling in the wrong direction along the northbound lanes, collided head-on with another vehicle. The catastrophic event took place in close proximity to Woolman Nursery, causing a chain reaction that involved three vehicles.
Our NBC10 correspondent, Randy Gyllenhaal, was at the scene on Wednesday morning, witnessing a substantial convoy of tow trucks mobilized to aid in the removal of the wreckage and facilitate the reopening of the thoroughfare.
For nearly six consecutive hours throughout the night, the road remained impassable in both directions. Finally, at approximately 10:45 a.m., the roadway was reopened for traffic.
Regrettably, one soul perished as a result of the crash, yet their identity remains unknown at this time. In addition, local law enforcement disclosed that two individuals were reported as unaccounted for and possibly fled the accident scene.
