Fatal Darfield Train Accident Claims the Life of Shaun – Obituary
In a heart-wrenching incident, the family of an 18-year-old young man, Shaun, is plunged into mourning as they grieve the sudden and tragic loss of their cherished son.
This sorrowful event unfolded when Shaun was struck and fatally injured by a train in Darfield on Mathias Street, near State Highway 73. The incident transpired shortly after 7 a.m. this Wednesday.
Shaun’s mother, Sharon Reynolds Whaea, shared a deeply moving message on Facebook, bearing the weight of her immense grief.
“Today, our beloved 18-year-old son, Shaun, was abruptly taken from this world, transcending to his heavenly abode. He was on his way to work, joyously immersed in his music, dancing near the train tracks, a routine he often indulged in, when the train accident occurred. No one can be held responsible for this tragic turn of events.
“At this juncture, as a family, we implore you for your prayers and love. We are immensely grateful for your unwavering support during this trying time. Once we have made decisions regarding the final farewell for Shaun’s earthly vessel, we will communicate them to you.
“For now, we find solace in the knowledge that Shaun’s earthly journey has concluded, and he now resides with Jesus. Amen.”
