Tragic news emerged as Esteban Jaramillo, aged 34, lost his life in a devastating incident on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway. The unfortunate incident, which occurred on the outskirts of downtown Los Angeles, was a result of a suspected drunken driver causing a wrong-way collision. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner confirmed the victim’s identity.

The fatal accident unfolded at approximately 4:40 a.m. on a fateful Thursday when Esteban Jaramillo was driving his Honda sedan eastbound on the 10 Freeway. In a horrifying turn of events, a Kia, driven in the wrong direction on the freeway, collided with Jaramillo’s vehicle, as reported by the medical examiner and the California Highway Patrol.

In the aftermath of the crash, the occupants of the Kia, which included a 5-year-old girl, sustained injuries. Fortunately, the child’s injuries were minor. However, a 22-year-old woman and the 25-year-old male driver both suffered injuries ranging from minor to moderate, according to CHP Officer Robert Gomez. Subsequently, all three individuals were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
