The Corona Police Department responded to the scene, discovering a man, Rodrigo Hernandez, lying on the road with severe injuries, amidst the wreckage of the collision.
Subsequently, law enforcement located a vehicle in the 300 block of N. McKinley Street, exhibiting damage consistent with the incident. The 53-year-old driver of the vehicle was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. However, he was later released as the investigation into his potential involvement in the tragic hit-and-run continues.
