Fatal U.S. 17 crash death of Cristy Rodriguez – Obituary
In a tragic incident that occurred on Saturday, October 14 near Pandy Ann Lane and the Pender EMS and Fire Station 18, 22-year-old Cristy Rodriguez lost her life in a devastating collision.
Reports from a spokesperson of the N.C. State Highway Patrol revealed that the young woman met her untimely demise when her vehicle, traveling in the wrong direction on the northbound lane, collided head-on with another car.
Although a male driver suffered severe injuries in the crash, they fortunately did not prove to be life-threatening. The emergency services received notification of the accident around 6 a.m. The circumstances surrounding the incident are presently under investigation.
