Fatal Louisville shooting death of Crystal Fultz – Obituary
In the early hours of Sunday, a tragic incident unfolded, resulting in the loss of a woman’s life and injury to a man. Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Dwight Mitchell reported that officers from LMPD’s 4th Division swiftly responded to a distressing call of gunfire around midnight within the vicinity of the 1500 block of Berry Boulevard, situated near Powell Avenue in the Jacobs neighborhood.
Upon their arrival at the scene, the officers discovered that both a woman and a man had suffered gunshot wounds. Swiftly, they were both rushed to the UofL Hospital, where the woman, regrettably, succumbed to her injuries. Mitchell further revealed that the man sustained minor injuries but is expected to recover.
Sunday afternoon bore the heart-wrenching revelation from the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, formally identifying the woman who tragically lost her life as Crystal Fultz, aged 45.
LMPD’s Homicide Unit has initiated an intensive investigation into this incident, and as per Mitchell, they have successfully accounted for all individuals involved. The lingering question, however, remains whether there are any potential suspects connected to this unfortunate event.
