Fatal Westmoreland County car crash death of Kazuko Werner – Obituary
Tragedy struck in Westmoreland County as a fatal car crash claimed the life of Kazuko Werner, a 61-year-old woman. The incident occurred on Route 66, at the junction with Oakford Valley Drive in Hempfield Township, around 2:46 p.m. on a fateful Wednesday.
Reports from the Pennsylvania State Police indicate that the accident transpired when Kazuko Werner, driving northbound on Route 66, attempted to execute a left turn onto Oakford Valley Drive. Tragically, she failed to yield the right of way to another vehicle, driven by a 51-year-old woman.
The collision was forceful, propelling both vehicles into a parking lot situated on the western side of Route 66. Despite the swift response from emergency services, Kazuko Werner could not be saved and was pronounced dead at Forbes Hospital. She has been identified by the Allegheny County medical examiner as Kazuko Werner from Jeanette.
As of now, the condition of the other driver remains undisclosed, and it is uncertain whether she sustained any injuries in the incident.
